Located in North Kerry on the banks of the River Feeale, Listowel is considered by many to the literary capital of the county. The town is host to one of Ireland's oldest writing festivals &emdash; Listowel Writers Week &emdash; each year which attracts writers from all over the world. And if you fancy a day at the races Listowel Racecourse is located nearby.
