Cahirciveen, Co. Kerry
Located in Caherciveen, lies the shell of a workhouse. In 1846 it was converted from a lodge to a sanctuary for the destitute, housing a school, hospital, residential quarters, soup kitchen and a Church. Its doors were closed in 1923.
